Academic/Professional experience, and Achievements: 

Guntra Aistara is Assistant Professor of Natural Resources and Sustainable Development at the UN-mandated University for Peace in Costa Rica.  She is currently on research leave as a post-doctoral fellow at CEU in the Environmental Sciences and Policy department.  Her reserach focuses on the development of organic agriculture movements in the culturally, ecologically, and politically diverse contexts of Latvia and Costa Rica.
